Latest news on traffic in the Lakes is poor for the northern part. Keswick is seing both major resurfacing and flood repair works. The main road through the town will be shut until after easter and the only route into the main carparks and the Borrowdale valley will be down to one lane controlled by traffic light. All in all expect gridlock.
The answer, come to the South Lakes, Lune Valley or Peak District this Easter Holiday, at least you'll be able to get here.
